Knight Plumbing were contacted to investigate some water on the floor in the kitchen of a first-floor unit.
On investigation our plumbers suspected this wasn’t going to be a straightforward fix and repair.
The leaking pipe was in a riser, the riser was clad in asbestos, we needed to act fast.
Securing the area by building a dust proof cocoon, the boys suited up to remove the Asbestos sheeting.
Following NSW WHS requirements, the Asbestos was treated ready for appropriate disposal.
We then set about replacing the corroded 90+ year old drainage ready for the owners / tenants to return in the evening.
New PVC pipe was installed to replace the cracked and corroded very old one.
Proving yet again – there has never been a plumbing problem Knight Plumbing hasn’t been able to solve.
